Arcadier debuts at Collision: targets North America and launches Enterprise marketplace offering

  • Singapore-headquartered Arcadier heads to Toronto for its first exhbition at Collision, largest tech conference in North America
  • Expands its presence in North America with the appointment of GM of North America and opening of Las Vegas, NV office
  • Announces foray into Enterprise marketplace business with a full-suite of APIs and the launch of a developer community

TORONTO / SINGAPORE, 20th MAY 2019 - Arcadier, a leading online SaaS marketplace platform provider, debuted at the Collision conference in Toronto this week and unveiled two key growth announcements. First, the Singapore-headquartered company announced the appointment of June Boo as General Manager North America and Head of Group Strategy, as well as the opening of an office in Las Vegas, Nevada. The appointment signals an increased emphasis on the company's international growth strategy, prioritizing its biggest market. With offices in Singapore, Sydney and Manila, Arcadier has an established user base in North America with almost 25% of its over 400 monthly new marketplaces created coming from the United States and Canada. 

 

The decisive move to expand comes as no surprise given the current market opportunity in eCommerce. Online retail marketplaces accounted for 50% of global online retail sales in 2017 and are forecasted to grow to about two-thirds by 2022. Specifically, in regards to North America, US B2B eCommerce exceeded the US$1 trillion dollar mark in 2018 at US$1.13 trillion and is set to reach US$1.84 trillion by 2023. By all accounts, marketplaces will continue to play a dominant role in the US eCommerce growth.

The second announcement the company made, was its official foray into the Enterprise marketplace space, unveiling their full suite of revamped APIs and developer community. Corporations can now develop highly customized marketplaces with Arcadier’s modular and easy to integrate platform. Developers will also be able to join Arcadier as an accredited expert partner to assist in customization projects and build applications for the broader Arcadier user base whilst generating revenue for these value added services.  

 

Spearheading Arcadier’s strategic focus on North American and Enterprise business, is seasoned professional, June Boo. Boo brings nearly 20 years of strategy, business planning, technology and digital marketing experience to Arcadier.  She will lead Arcadier’s growth strategy into the North American markets, focusing on customer acquisitions and partnership development. Boo previously worked as Head of Strategy and Head of Distribution Channels Asia Middle East & Africa at InterContinental Hotels Group, and gained extensive management consulting experiences with Boston Consulting Group, BearingPoint and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

She stated that they have been “invaluable in allowing marketplace administrators in this region to scale quickly and grow globally”  and that Arcadier is looking forward to strengthening its affiliate partner and developer communities and supporting its enterprise efforts in all capacities.
