Singapore – March 2019: Small companies often struggle with applying for loans or have insufficient collateral to get secured credit. Having experienced this themselves in the initial stages of their first start-up, co-founders Daren Guo and Kevin Kang decided to start a company that could reduce the barriers to small business. This lead to the creation of Reap, an online payment and credit platform.
Singapore-based Arcadier, the world’s fastest growing marketplace builder with more than 8,000 created across 170 countries, announced today that it has signed an Affiliate Partnership agreement with Reap.
Arcadier’s marketplace users will benefit from this partnership as they can utilize credit cards through Reap to gain access to inexpensive capital for their operations. With the additional funds, users would be encouraged to make more transactions on the marketplace. Kenneth Low, Arcadier’s Chief Commercial Officer, said, “We are looking forward to this opportunity to partner Reap and empower small businesses. They form the backbone of our economy, particularly in Asia, and providing merchants and consumers easy access to capital is a big win for our users.”
Reap is a platform that allows Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to pay all operating expenses (ie. rent, salaries, suppliers) using any form of credit cards. Through using credit, SMEs would gain instant access to inexpensive capital and immediately improve operational cash flow/working capital. They are looking to build a full stack credit-based payments system for all Asian SMEs. Reap also caters for international payments in 40 currencies, allowing its users to make international transactions with ease.
“We are very excited to be part of Arcadier’s ecosystem of partners. We share together a common vision to enable start-up entrepreneurs and small businesses to grow and expand. Reap hopes to bring our expertise in payments/financing for marketplace builders of Arcadier to realize this vision,” said Daren Guo, Co-founder of Reap.
As part of the partnership, all Arcadier users are eligible to receive exclusive benefits on payment transaction fees. Exact details can be viewed on Arcadier’s Affiliate Partners page.
